Boys Varsity Swimming · Plymouth won two dual meets against Allen Park and Salem

Plymouth avenged Thursday’s loss to Salem by winning the home and home 98-85. Plymouth also beat Allen Park 130 – 55.

Plymouth had a great day with many season or life time best swims. The was highlighted by 3 school records and 4 new individual state qualifications.

The 200 Medley relay broke the school record winning the event going 1:39.16. The team consisted of Evan Holmberg, Andy Mak, Matthew Bey, and Paolo Belleza. The same four also qualified for the state championship in the 400 free relay winning the event going 3:20.43.

Paolo Belleza qualified for the state championships breaking the school record in the 100 fly going 53.07. Andy Mak and Evan Holmberg both broke the school record in the 100 back going 54.27 and 54.32.

The meet between Plymouth and Salem went back and forth until the 100 back where Plymouth 1-2-3 the event with Andy Mak, Evan Holmberg, and Evan WIlson. Plymouth followed that event with a 1-2 finish in the 100 breast with Paolo Belleza and Emmett Martin.

With both wins this got Plymouth on the positive side of the win/loss record at 5-4 for the season.
