  Place Points
Plymouth High School 1st 21
Hartland High School 2nd 52
Novi High School 3rd 60

Plymouth girls came with a plan on Tuesday at Cass Benton going head to head against Novi and Hartland. The plan was to use the competition to prepare for races later this season and there’s no better place to train than at Cass Benton. It’s a tough course but the Wildcat runners are equally as tough. In each dual, Plymouth girls came out on top. Plymouth – 19 vs Novi – 41. Plymouth – 17 vs Hartland – 42.
Lauren Kiley (So) finished in the top spot with a 18:47 finish time giving the Wildcats the advantage they have come to expect from her. “She’s a consistent, tough and dependable runner”, said Coach Ahearn. “It’s hard to keep your motivation when you’re leading the race by a generous margin but Lauren is so focused, strong and reliable that it seems to come naturally to her.”
Londyn Swenson (Jr) finished third overall with a time of 19:58, Lindsay Ripple (Jr) finished fourth over all with a time of 20:41, Paige Cristea finished sixth overall with a time of 21:14 and our fifth and final scoring Wildcat, Sasha Fox (So) finished seventh overall with a time of 21:24. Our sixth and seventh varsity Wildcats were Junior Erin Trombly and Freshman Mariella Ma.
Our plan was to get all five of our scoring athletes in before both Novi’s and Hartland’s 2nd scoring athletes in order to work on getting our gap between runners a bit smaller. “The girls are going in the right direction and working hard. They should be proud of their accomplishments today. I know I am. Now, let’s get back to work”, Coach Ahearn commented.
