The Wildcats made the most of their opportunities on Friday and earned seven points, placing them in the top ten for the first time in school history. The four doubles team of Anna Mueller and Kokoa Kaneko made it to the quarterfinals after beating Dearborn in the second round. Three doubles Grace Iacapelli and Paige Cristea also won their first match against Troy Athens, fighting off two match points before winning in three sets. 3 singles Allie Baker won her first match against Stoney Creek before falling to the eventual flight winner from Midland Dow. One singles and #2 seeded Jessica Braun won her first two matches before losing a tough three setter to Grosse Pointe South in the semifinals.
The Wildcats enjoyed their best season in school history, finishing the tournament tied for 10th place out of 22 teams.
