Coach Ahearn’s comments:
“Salem came with the goal of defending their long held PCEP title and (we) were looking to thwart their effort but the Rocks came out on top. It was a victory by mere seconds but that’s how it goes in the running world. Hats off to Salem again but we will learn from this and work harder and smarter for future meets. Many times it’s not the victories that teach you the most; it’s the losses. I’m proud of the girls for their efforts and determination. Lauren Kiley took first overall and ran a season best at 18:06 and is looking to take more time off in the coming meets.
