The first races of the season are typically the hottest and yesterday was no exception but the Wildcats were prepared! Lauren Kiley (Jr) showed just how much work she’s put in during the off season and won the dual easily with a 18:58. Senior Lindsay Ripple came in 2nd with a 20:34 followed by senior Londyn Swenson who just missed 3rd place finishing with a 20:44. A few of Saline runners made it a very tight race with a nice pack taking 5th-9th place but Jr Sarah Coyne and Fr Aliya Kurian took 10th and 11th and rounding out the 5 scoring spots for Plymouth and the narrow victory.
“To say that it’s been an interesting start to the season is an understatement but I was really proud of the girls and how they performed, especially at an odd race time and under such warm conditions. This is a great start for a strong team. I’m looking forward to how they progress this season.” commented Coach Alice Ahearn.
