Canton High School vs Plymouth High School

The JV wildcat cross country girls were strong against the Canton Chiefs Tuesday. The weather was challenging which made the already challenging Cass Benton course even more so. There were many PRs which is amazing given the difficult weather and the muddy course.
Scoring for the Wildcats were Claudia Swenson (fr) in second place with a time of 21:19, Megan Olson (jr) in fourth place with a time 21:41, Erin Trombly (sr) in fifth place with a time of 22:02, Maddie Bagnasco (sr) in seventh place with a time of 22:48 and Paige Cristea (sr) in eighth place with a time of 22:57.
Coach Ahearn commented, “I was so impressed with how focused and strong the girls looked today. The weather was terrible and the course was muddy and that normally combines to slow runners down but they did a great job. This was the last meet for the JV runners and they finished the season like the Wildcats they are.”
