Wildcats News · P-CCS Athlete Testing Update for Families 3/30/21

On March 19th Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) issued a new Mask and Gatherings Order that requires persons ages 13 to 19 to participate in a COVID-19 testing program as specified in the MDHHS Interim Guidance for Athletics beginning April 2nd.

To comply with this order the Plymouth-Canton Community School District is working with outside vendors to determine the feasibility of testing our athletes. At present, P-CCS anticipates to start testing athletes the week of April 5th – April 11th. We will look to have a testing plan in place by the weekend of April 10th to meet the MDHHS mandate. Additional information will be provided through the Athletic Programs as soon as it is available.

Should you wish to have your student-athlete tested prior to returning to school on April 5th, P-CCS in cooperation with MDHHS is hosting a free drive-through COVID-19 testing site on April 3rd and April 4th at Plymouth High School.  Please click on this link to access the flyer with all the testing information: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zXbjUAjSXTgVbXleVgVfsI_9UOYlSgkI/view?usp=sharing
