Wildcats News · PHS Student-Athletes of the Month (November)

Patrick Byrnes | Boys Varsity Cross Country

One of the top runners in the State. His time of 15:22 is the #3 time in the State for D1. He has been a multi-time All State Runner. Patrick has been a good leader both on and off the course and in the classroom.

Aliya Kurian | Girls Varsity Cross Country

Aliya has been a consistent scorer for our XC team for every race we have had this season (finishing in the top 5 athletes on the team). In our pre-regional, we had to sit our number 4 athlete to allow her to heal for future races and Aliya stepped up to the number 4 spot and help us win the pre-regional decisively. She also plays club soccer during the XC season, making her an extraordinary athlete.

Maddie Kirchoff | Girls Varsity Volleyball

Maddie has demonstrated leadership throughout the entire season both on and off the court. She is not afraid to be vocal and be the mentor role for the younger athletes on the team. Her attitude and commitment are what have led this year’s volleyball team to their success.

Breanna Beringer | Girls Varsity Swim & Dive

Breanna leads by example in and out of the pool. At practice, she puts forth great effort and always strives to improve. This past month, Bre achieved the MISCA cut in the 100 butterfly; she has now qualified individually for this meet for 3 consecutive years. Bre was also part of the relay team that qualified for the State Championship meet in the 200 Medley Relay. Outside of the pool, Bre is an excellent student and often video chats with her teammates to help them study for their classes.
