Varsity Wrestling · Plymouth Wrestling’s, Spencer Vos, Qualifies for Regional

On Saturday, February 15th, the Wildcats headed to Ypsilanti Lincoln to compete in the MHSAA Individual District wrestling tournament. The Wildcats entered 14 wrestlers, including 8 underclassmen. The wrestlers battled hard throughout the day. The Wildcats had 4 wrestlers make the “Blood Round”, win and move on to regional, lose and your season is over. Matt McFarlin(130), Hayden Clark(152), and Owen Fahey(160) all lost close matches, ending their 2019-2020 campaign. Spencer Vos(189) pulled out a 3-2 decision against Saline wrestler, Josh Brannan.

With his “Blood Round” win, Vos would wrestle for 3rd place. Vos controlled a close match and won 3-1 against Alex Laskonski of Northville, avenging a loss from earlier in the day.

Spencer Vos will compete again on Saturday, Febraury 22nd, at Saline High School. Vos will look to place top 4 and earn himself a ticket to Ford Field for the MHSAA Individual State Finals on March 6th and 7th.
