On Saturday January 5, the Plymouth Junior Varsity boys WON their division in the annual Mercy/UD Jesuit Tournament at Super Bowl Lanes in Canton. The format was 6 team Baker games followed by 3 individual games and the boys won with a total of 3,883 which was good for first place, a whopping 346 pins ahead of the second-place school in the 12-team field.
Junior Darren Polka took home first place in the individual awards with a fine 639 series (235-177-227) and freshman Brayden Niemiec took home third place with a solid 618 (203-177-238). Other fine efforts included Lucas Metz (186), Ben Walton (185) and senior Tyler Preece, coming down from Varsity to help the boys this weekend (201).
