Brendan Allen tallied four goals and added one assist as the Wildcats (11-3) won their eighth straight with a non-conference win May 5 over visiting Ann Arbor Pioneer (8-4).

Other offensive leaders for Plymouth included Bryan Twinney (four assists), Ethan Rottell (three assists), Ian Gozdor (three goals), Gavin Roach (two goals), David Brace (one goal, one assist) and Carson Miller (one goal, one assist).

“It was nice to have fastbreak goals today,” said Plymouth coach Ray Miller, whose team jumped out to a 4-0 lead. “We have struggled a little scoring during transition so to have a few goals here and then when we had numbers was a step in the right direction and hopefully something that can carry over into the next games.”

The Wildcats’ Nathan Stoneburg won 10 face-offs and had six ground balls.

Plymouth Blake Nowicki made six saves, while the defense was led by Charlie Shaver, along with Jake Marciniak, Josh Montory, Tyler Schewe, Grant Caswell, Logan Stacey, Mitchell Bates and Jeff Koviak.

“Team play has been the reason why we are excelling so much on the field,” Miller said. “We don’t have one guy who takes over games, we have multiple guys who can step up when needed. We were very unselfish today with 10 of our 11 goals being assisted today.”
