SOPHOMORE TRISTAN LARSEN FINISHES FIFTH IN JV STATE TOURNAMENT!
On Saturday February 18, the annual JV State Singles Bowling Tournament was contested at Ark Sterling Lanes in Sterling Heights. This is a hotly contested season-ending tournament that brings the finest JV boys together from across the state. The best of this crop would fit in near the top of many varsity rosters statewide for sure. Unfazed by the stiff competition, smooth-stroking Plymouth sophomore Tristan Larsen laced up and went to work, tossing a fine 626 series (180-200-246) in qualifying to make the Top 32 cut to head-to-head match play. Then he got down to serious business, reeling of 220 games like a seasoned champion, marching straight into the quarterfinals. He lost a tough match 221-184 but ended up with a fine 5-place finish. Not bad considering he was up against a field of over 170 boys! Great job Tristan! Tristan is a transfer from Canton Prep and we are very lucky to have him join our program this season. Tristan joins the varsity boys on Friday Feb 24 as they get together for regionals. They will vie for a spot in the Varsity State Team tournament.
