Aaliyah Jordan is a sophomore on the Varsity Sideline Cheer team. This week Aaliyah has gone above and beyond to perfect her skills. Mike Mathias is a member of the freshmen football team. Last week against Canton, he scored one touchdown and played great defense all game long.
Nathan Janke is a member of the freshmen football team. Last week against Canton, he played awesome defense.
Alec Beshears is a member of the freshmen football team. Last week against Canton, he blocked well for the offense and played excellent defense.
Nick Downs is a member of the freshmen football team. Last week against Canton, he rushed for two touchdowns.
Adam Stepek is a junior on the cross country team (also track and field and swimming). Last week against Canton, Adam ran as Plymouth’s fifth runner, setting a personal record of 17:49 on the course at Cass Benton Park and helping his team win the meet.
Ryan Dickerson is a senior on the varsity soccer team. Last week against Livonia Franklin, he scored two goals in a convincing 7-1 KLAA South division match.
Izzy and Lily Tiplady are ninth-graders on the varsity cross country team. Last week, the sisters both contributed greatly to the Wildcats’ dual-meet win against Canton on Tuesday and helped propel the team to a fourth-place finish at the Monroe Jefferson Invitational.
Sneha Sundar is a sophomore on the varsity swim and dive team. She is consistently improving her best times and pushes herself and others to the limit in every practice and meet. Sneha is a great leader and an example of hard work paying off.
Alayna Schumaker is the Freshman Volleyball Wildcat of the Week. Alayna is one of the setters on the Freshman team. This week she had 86 set attempts converting 30 of these into assists. Coach Flaherty says about Alayna, “This week Alayna was then challenged to make good sets to hitters. Alayna rose to the occasion without the blink of the eye. I have seen a vast improvement this week alone in Alayna’s sets. Alayna is an extremely hard worker and never has an excuse, no matter what I am asking her to do. She has one of the most positive attitudes on the team. It is great to have a player that you can give a challenge and they make it a mission to accomplish it and don’t view it as a chore or give an excuse on why she can’t do it.” Congratulations, Alayna, on being this week’s Freshman Wildcat of the Week!
Ethan Byrnes is a junior on the cross country team (also swimming and track). He ran well at the Churchill dual meet, leading his team to a victory and moving the team closer to a division championship.
Jayanth Nama and Nathan Schweikhart are freshmen on the boys JV tennis team. Last week, the duo took third place and earned a medal at the KLAA JV Invitational, playing 7 doubles.
