The Road Runner Sports Wildcats of the Week, as nominated by their coaches, are Jack Boczar, Kenna White, Haley Gagnon, Trevor McManus, Ryen Draper, Dylan Brown, Madeline Caswell, Cathryn Vandenbosch, and Kennedy Eggen.

Jack Boczar, a senior on the golf team, led the Wildcats to a first-place finish at the KLAA Pre-Season Tournament.  Screenshot 2016-05-01 at 11.30.42 AMBoczar broke the school record for 18 holes, shooting a phenomenal 66 (4 under par) at Idyl Wyld in Livonia.  Click here to read more about Jack’s record-breaking performance at the tournament.

Kenna White, a ninth-grader on the varsity soccer team (also volleyball), scored five goals in Screenshot 2016-05-01 at 11.34.47 AMtwo victories last week, including three against Wayne Memorial and two against Westland John Glenn.

Haley Gagnon, a ninth-grader on the varsity softball team (also volleyball and basketball), hit Screenshot 2016-05-01 at 11.45.04 AMher first high school home-run in walk-off fashion against Northville on Monday.  Haley batted in three runs to help the ‘Cats to a 5-3 win.  Haley is working hard as a freshman and sparks the team with her high energy and laughter.  Haley is a three-sport freshman extraordinaire!

Ryen Draper, a junior on the girls track and field team, broke the school record in the 200m Draperdash at the Crestwood Invitational this past Saturday. She was also the only four-event winner at the PCEP “City” meet (boys or girls).  Ryen is ranked in the top 10 in the state in the 100m and 200m races.

Trevor McManus, a senior goaltender on the boys varsity lacrosse team (also hockey), led Screenshot 2016-05-01 at 8.26.24 PMhis team to victories over Father Gabriel Richard, Salem, and Northville last week.  His season save percentage is over 68%.

Dylan Brown, a pitcher on the freshman baseball team, pitched a shutout against Canton on Screenshot 2016-05-01 at 8.43.35 PMTuesday with nine strikeouts.  Dylan was also called up to JV this week.

Madeline Caswell, a junior on the varsity lacrosse team, tallied four goals and four assists in Screenshot 2016-05-01 at 8.32.03 PMtwo victories last week against Salem and Tecumseh.

Cathryn Vandenbosch, a junior on the varsity lacrosse team (also varsity hockey), scored Screenshot 2016-05-01 at 8.33.57 PMeight goals an an assist in two victories last week against Salem and Tecumseh.

Kennedy Eggen, a player on the freshmen soccer team, has been extremely flexible this Screenshot 2016-05-01 at 8.39.30 PMseason.  Coach Magoulick has asked her to play many different positions and she has filled in extremely well.
