Hillevi (Hilly) Pihl, a senior international exchange student on the gymnastics team (also cross country), scored an 8.8 on the vault at the Wildcats’ victory over Salem on Thursday. That was the highest vault score at the meet, and a personal best for Hilly.
Zach Beadle, a tenth-grade student on the boys JV basketball team (also football, baseball), racked up 42 points, 10 rebounds, and nine steals in the team’s two victories this week against Salem and Wayne Memorial.
Keegan Kendall, a senior on the swim and dive team, earned his best career time in the 100 yard backstroke at the PCEP tri-meet, which was also a MISCA (Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association) state meet cut.
Pete Carravallah, a senior on the boys basketball team (also baseball), has charged up his game, battling valiantly against Salem’s Kenny Topolovec in the team’s loss to the Rocks last Tuesday, then clamped down on Wayne Memorial’s best player in the team’s victory on Friday night, while averaging 5 points and 9 rebounds in this week’s games.
Dylan Dwyer, a senior on the wrestling team (also soccer), went 7-0 this week including a first-period pin over the #2-ranked wrestler in MHSAA Division 2.
Tyler Campbell, a sophomore on the wrestling team, also went 7-0 this week with huge pins over Howell and Sterling Heights Stevenson wrestlers that set up team wins.
Lauren Martin is a ninth-grade student on the varsity competitive cheer team. Lauren is an incredibly talented athlete and a huge part of this Wildcat team. She is a flyer in round 3, where she brings so much excitement and energy to the round with her beautiful technique and fantastic expressions! Competing in all 3 rounds, Lauren’s contribution to her team is one of the many reasons why this team is having their best year yet!
