This week’s Plymouth Wildcats of the Week are senior golfer Katie Chipman and senior soccer goaltender Damon Favero.
Chipman (also varsity soccer) was the individual tournament winner at the Home Instead Invitational. Comprised of golfers from 18 schools around Michigan, Chipman (pictured above) scored a 71 on the course at Hudson Mills Metropark, beating out the other 89 golfers at the tournament for the victory. The Plymouth team, comprised of Chipman, Erin Johnson, Heather Muir, Rachel Kristian, and Sara Vohra, compiled a 343 team score, good for 4th place in the tournament.
Favero (pictured above–photo M Vasilnek) “saved the day” for Plymouth, blocking 3 of 5 shots in the post-game penalty kick shootout as Plymouth defeated cross-Park rivals Salem 2-1 in the second game of the tournament. Favero also played good games against Canton and Rochester Adams in the tournament.
