This week’s Wildcats of the Week are senior golfer Andrew Lloyd, junior track and field athlete Michael Jordan, senior track and field athlete Jonny Dalton, senior track and field athlete Anna Lukens, and senior softball player Mikayela Marciniak.
Lloyd shot a fantastic 35 over 9 holes, making the difference as Plymouth upset the favored Canton Chiefs in boys golf last week. Plymouth won 152-150 to secure yet another KLAA South division championship.
Jordan (football, wrestling, track and field) broke the school record in the discus (154’3″) while earning a second-place finish at the KLAA Kensington Conference track and field championships at Livonia Churchill. Jordan also finished 3rd in shot put, an event in which Jordan also possesses the school record.
Dalton (cross country, track and field) won the 800 meter run at the KLAA track meet (1:55.14) and anchored Plymouth’s 3200 meter relay team, which earned a second-place finish at the meet.
Lukens led off the 800 meter relay the KLAA track meet, which earned second place and set a new Plymouth and PCEP record in the event (1:43.37).
Marciniak (pictured at top) threw her first no hitter of the season last week, against Wayne Memorial, which was shortened due to the “mercy” rule. She pitched a 5-inning game facing 16 batters, allowing 1 runner on base via walk and struck out 8 batters. She also hit her first home run of the year against Stevenson, and another against Wayne later in the week.
