Plymouth concluded its weekend west Michigan trip losing to Rockford in the final minutes of the 4th quarter, 13-12. Playing without strong midfielder Kyle Robertson forced other players to step up, and respond they did. Justin Brodzik had a career day going for 3 goals and 1 assist. Nolan Ouellette chipped in 4 goals. Adding to the scoring was Austin Currier (1 goal), Derek Szczepanik (2 goals, 1 assist), Zach Gallaher (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jack Balch (1 goal) stepped up to take pressure off the midfield. Trevor McManus was spectacular in the cage as usual posting a save percentage of 52%, but made many fantastic one on one saves.
The Wildcats hope to get healthy again as they take on the Saline Hornets, last year’s co-champions of the SEC on Tuesday night.
