Plymouth High School Athletics / Winter 2017-2018 Tryout Information

All athletes must pre-register online at  Click on “Wildcats HQ,” then “Registration.”

The following are starting dates for winter sports. Specific locations and times will be posted on this website in October, 2017.

October 30:  Girls gymnastics and boys ice hockey

November 6: Girls basketball, competitive cheer

November 13: Boys basketball, boys and girls bowling, boys wrestling

November 20: Boys swim and dive

There are mandatory meetings in November for ALL winter sports parents.  Click here for information.


When:  November 13-14 3:00-5:30

Where: Super Bowl, 45100 Ford Rd, Canton, MI 48187

Info:  As in the past, it will be a closed tryout (no parents or spectators).

All athletes must pre-register at

Gymnastics (no cut)

7 safety skills are required: splits, backbend, cartwheel, handstand, forward and backward roll, and roundoff.

Meeting Oct. 30 at 2:45 for Athletes only
Nov 10 for parents.

Skill check will be Nov. 1 or one week after an athlete finishes fall sports.
Athlete must have Physical into Athletic office prior to any activity.

Varsity: 6:30-9:30
Tuesday, November 7:
Fresh: 5:30-7:30pm

Varsity: 7:30-9:30pm
Wednesday, November 8:
JV: 4:45-6:45pm
Varsity: 2:30-4:45pm
Thursday, November 9, First Official Practice:
Fresh: 4:30-6pm
Varsity: 3-4:30pm
Parent Meeting: 6:30pm

Monday November 13th- Wednesday November 15th.
Varsity- 4:30-6:30pm
JV- 3:30-5:30pm
Freshman- 6:30-8:00pm

Boys Ice Hockey (tryouts, Varsity)

at Arctic Edge Arena

Monday, October 30 @ 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday, October 31 @ 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Girls Ice Hockey (Varsity)
The PCS Penguins girls hockey tryouts are at the Arctic Edge on these dates:
Monday October 30 4-5pm on ice
5-7pm off ice
Wednesday November 1 4-5pm on ice
5-7pm off ice

Boys Swimming (no cut)

Practice begins November 20.  Meet in the Salem pool.

Practice times are Mon-Fri 5:30-8:30 and Sat 11-2.

Wrestling (no cut)

First day of practice Monday, November 13.  Meet in the Plymouth Wrestling Room (athletic wing).
Practices will be 3:30-5:30 PM.

Plymouth Boys Ice Hockey: Parent and Player Meeting

The Plymouth Boys Ice Hockey Team will host an informational meeting on May 25th at 7:00pm. This meeting will take place in the Plymouth High School Distance Learning Lab (Room 223B). The coaches will address off season conditioning and their on and off ice program. Any interested incoming Freshman – Senior is welcome to attend.
