JV BOYS FINISH THIRD IN JV SEASON-ENDING STATE TOURNAMENT!

On Sunday February 19, the annual JV State Team Tournament was contested at Ark Sterling Lanes in Sterling Heights.  This is a heatedly contested annual competition featuring the top JV teams from around the state, many of which would be very solid VARSITY teams at many schools.  Unfazed, the JV team of Chris Dwyer, Erik Bunge, Tyler Preece, Tristan Larsen, and Darren Polka went to work in the grueling 10-Baker game qualifying session, averaging over 185 to easily make it to match play.  Once match play began, the boys proceeded to begin mowing down opponents, marching straight into the quarterfinals against perennial bowling powerhouse Mount Clemens Lanse Creuse North High School.  The boys gave Lanse Creuse all they could handle, forcing a tiebreaker but falling just short.  They then settled into a consolation match for third place which they handily won.  Third place in the JV state tournament is a very good showing for this incredibly young bunch.  The future is incredibly bright for Plymouth Bowling.  This program is destined to become one of the finest in the state.  Come join us on the journey and be part of bowling history at the campus!
