Meet Recap

On Monday February 13, the Plymouth Boys Varsity defeated the Canton Chiefs in a tiebreaker. The boys spilt the match 15-15 but won the tiebreaker on total pins per KLAA rule (1876-1769). This makes the Plymouth boys KLAA CO-CHAMPIONS, splitting first place with the Salem Rocks! The boys fell behind 10-0 after the Baker game portion of the match, but then went to work to dig deep within and stage a furious comeback against the Chiefs. It was a great lesson in perseverance and never giving up. Kudos all around in this team effort. Senior stud Justin OShaughnessy (204-245) led the way. Sophomores Alan Brown (221) and Brett Caldwell (197-187) were solid as well. Senior Bryce Smith shook off some recent struggles with a huge 191 in the final and deciding game. Juniors Boyd Crane and Mike Koski contributed several key shots as well. Congratulations to the boys on finishing the season in first place!!! The season resumes with the KLAA championship tournament Friday February 17 at Century Bowl in Waterford, then its on to regionals February 24/25 at Super Bowl Lanes.
