WRESTLING

This year’s Wayne County Championship brought a lot of good wrestlers and a lot of bad weather.  Several of the Wildcat wrestlers were feeling the effects of the cold season.  Tyler Campbell (112) started out seeded 1st, but had to wrestle back to 5th place after losing to the tournament’s champion ending the day with 3-1.  Zach Lundberg (130) and Calvin Vos (152) both went 1-2.  Joey Ahearn (160) went 2-3 and Artis Jackson fought back to win 7th place going 3-2.  The highlight for Plymouth was Ethan Shulaw pinning his opponents in every match to become the 189 lb. champion by fall over John Glenn’s Lional Cornish.  Shulaw earned 24 points of the total 62 for the Wildcats.
