Plymouth went 3-2 at the Northville Team Tournament on Saturday 12/10.  In the first round, Plymouth lost to Caro 28 to 39.  Tyler Campbell, Jezan Sukhadia, Artis Jackson, and Zach Lohrmann all pinned their opponents in the first period, while Joey Ahearn dominated Steven Dinsmark all three periods for a 13-4 major decision.  Plymouth handled Northville more easily ending the dual with 48-27.  Tyler Campbell and Zach Lundberg both showed persistent endurance and good technique with matches ending 4-2.  In the third dual of the day, won over Mumford 72-0 with pins and forfeits since Mumford had six holes in their lineup.  The fourth dual against South Lyon East resulted in a 57-18 Plymouth victory.  Ethan Shulaw pulled through with a hard-fought 9-6 win over Anthony Cavotta.  Jezan Sukhadia took down Dominic Albanys for a pin in :08.  At the end of the day, Plymouth’s 3-1  matched up with Novi from the pool, but came up short losing 33-39.  Tyler Campbell, Jezan Sukhadia, and Zach Lohrmann came out strong with pins in the first period, and Zach Lundberg wrestled smart to a 5-3 victory against Matt George.

Throughout the day, Jezan Sukhadia ended with five pins as Plymouth’s 125 lb. wrestler, with one of those pins at 130.  Plymouth wrestled well against Caro and South Lyon East, but it was made aware just how important the full lineup can be when going into these team tournaments.  Wrestling for first place was not out of reach this team.
