The Road Runner Sports Wildcats of the Week are Tommy Sullivan, Anthony Iacopelli, Darius Timmons, Mario Sekulla, Sean Rocker, Emily Britton, Bassil Syed, Jack Angott, Morgan Horning, Kyle Pahl, Matt Decker, and Katie Rocker.

SullivanTommy Sullivan, a junior on the boys varsity soccer team, played well in both games against Brighton and Walled Lake Central last week.


Iacopelli Anthony Iacopelli, a senior on the boys varsity soccer team, has shown tremendous leadership already this season, as well as strong play in the midfield.


timmonsDarius Timmons, a senior on the varsity football team (also track and field), played well on both sides of the ball in last week’s 20-6 win over visiting Walled Lake Central.  Read more about the game here, and vote for Timmons for the Observer and Eccentric Athlete of the Week here.


sekulla Mario Sekulla, a sophomore on the boys JV soccer team, scored 3 goals in two games against Brighton and Walled Lake Central last week.


Rocker Sean Rocker, a sophomore on the boys JV soccer team, scored two goals in in two games against Brighton and Walled Lake Central last week.


BrittonEmily Britton, a sophomore on the girls cross country team (also girls track and field), set an outstanding personal record (PR) in her very first race of the year, with a 5K time of 22:43; her previous PR was 23:28.


SyedBassil Syed, a sophomore on the boys cross country team (also track and field and swimming), broke his own personal record by a whopping 35 seconds in the team’s first meet of the season, earning his spot on the seven-runner varsity cross country squad.


AngottJack Angott, a sophomore on the JV football team, leads the team as a captain and played well in the team’s 12-12 tie with Ann Arbor Pioneer last week.


 

HorningMorgan Horning, a sophomore on the JV volleyball team, steps in and does whatever is asked from her coaches.  She plays a variety of positions and always displays a positive mental attitude.


 

PahlKyle Pahl is a standout on the freshmen soccer team due to his work ethic and leadership this season.


Rocker

Katie Rocker, a senior on the varsity volleyball team, averaged 8 assists and 5 digs per set last week.


DeckerMatt Decker, a senior on the varsity tennis team (also golf), plays #1 singles and recently won the PCEP individual championship while also helping his team win the PCEP team championship. Matt’s record so far this year is 5-1.
